My philosophy is that true and lasting healing needs to be approached from a root cause and healed in a holistic manner -- it's just as important to eat healthy, nutritious foods and heal your gut and liver as it is to make sure that your nervous system is in a regulated state. If our nervous system is in fight or flight mode, we simply cannot create calm and safety in our body, therefore it will be nearly impossible to heal.

My Healing Story
Just 5 years ago I had hit rock bottom with my health. I had gained 25-30 pounds in a 4-5 month period (the first time I had ever gained weight like this in my life), I was fatigued, my hair was thinning and wouldn't grow, I had painful periods, I bloated often after eating and had other digestive issues, I had hormonal acne along my jaw/chin/neck, and I just felt unwell.
I was 29 years old at the time and felt like my body was failing me. I had been eating plant based off and on for about 3-4 years at this time and was doing things like intermittent fasting and drinking lots of green juices and smoothies. I thought I should be the pinnacle of health. So why was I experiencing all of these symptoms?
I decided to become even more strict with my diet and started exercising more intensely thinking this must be the reason behind my weight gain and symptoms.
This only made the matter worse. I was going to high intensity group fitness classes 4-6 times a week, leaving each class feeling completely depleted and exhausted. And over the course of doing this consistently for 4-5 months, I saw zero positive changes in my body and had actually gained a couple of pounds and felt "puffier".
I decided that there had to be another way and I was determined to figure it out.
I was also diagnosed with Hypothyroidism by an Integrative practitioner at this time (more about my story with Hypothyroidism inside the course). I completely changed the way I was working out and I enrolled in a hormone healing course. I started to understand the roles that hormones (especially stress hormones) played in how we feel and the way our body looked.
I was learning so much about hormones, thyroid conditions, gut health, liver healing, minerals, etc and I how all of these things affect one another and create imbalances in our body.
Over the course of a year, I made changes one by one and I started to notice my symptoms disappearing. I was finally able to lose the weight, gain more energy, sleep better, clear my skin, my hair started growing longer, my bloating and digestive issues went away, my periods were no longer painful, I didn't experience migraines anymore, and my moods were so much more stable. I felt like me again.
And this is EXACTLY why I created this course. I know so many other women are struggling with these same issues and feeling so defeated when it to their health.

Modules:
-Week 1: Nutrition. The HOW and WHY behind nutrition. Learn how to properly nourish your body for hormone and thyroid health through macro and micro nutrients. Recipes included.
-Week 2: Proper Hydration. You will learn why it's so important to be consuming properly filtered water that has been remineralized in order to hydrate your cells and provide energy to your body. I will give you tools to ensure you are getting high quality water and ways you can remineralize the body through hydration. Minerals = hormone health.
-Week 3: Minerals 101. We will take a deeper look into the world of minerals and why they are the cornerstone of hormonal imbalances and thyroid conditions. Without minerals we cannot make the enzymes needed for hormone production and we also cannot accept the active thyroid hormone into our cells. Minerals are crucial for our health and they are the first nutrient to leave the body when we are under any type of emotional, physical, or environmental stress.
-Week 4: Restorative Sleep + Morning Light. These two aspects of health are oftentimes overlooked and are a huge piece to the hormone and thyroid healing puzzle. We will talk about how you can optimize your sleep and ways to get morning daylight to help with deeper sleep at night and hormone production during the day.
-Week 5: Movement + Exercise/Cycle Syncing Workouts. Most of us have been stressing our bodies even further by pushing them too hard which causes us to run off of stress hormones. When stress hormones are running rampant in our body, they will cause thyroid issues, gut health symptoms, acne, weight gain, fertility issues, fatigue, poor sleep, etc. I will teach you how to cycle sync your work outs to correspond with your menstrual cycle so you are able to optimize workouts for building lean muscle and losing body fat without taxing the body.
-Week 6: Gut Health. This is absolutely crucial for hormone production and regulation as well as thyroid health. Our gut microbiome influences our weight and the way we absorb nutrients. We also convert a lot of our inactive thyroid hormone to the active thyroid hormone in the gut. We will address repopulating the gut microbiome, increasing stomach acid production, and healing the gut wall lining for optimal gut health.
-Week 7: Liver Support. The liver is involved in the conversion of the inactive thyroid hormone to the active thyroid hormone as well as being responsible for metabolizing up to 70% of our bodies hormones. It is responsible for over 500 functions in the human body and if our liver is stagnant or overloaded, we will have a hard time with weight gain, detoxification, and hormone conversion. I will teach you tools and techniques to support liver function and detoxification.
-Week 8: Adrenal Support + Healing. Our adrenals make our stress hormones. When we are running off of stress hormones, we tax the adrenals until we are in a burn out phase and are constantly feeling drained, tired, and fatigued. This will affect our weight, our thyroid, our sleep, and overall quality of life.
-Week 9: Thyroid Healing. The thyroid is the master hormone regulator. When the thyroid is impacted and either not making enough of the inactive thyroid hormone or precursors to the thyroid hormone OR not converting the inactive thyroid hormone to the active form, you will experience symptoms such as weight gain, hair loss, cold hands and feet, irregular periods, migraines, mood disorders, gut health issues. You will learn why your blood labs may come back "normal" even when dealing with thyroid issues, how to nourish the thyroid, how to support through minerals, gut health, liver support, and adrenal support.
-Week 10: Nervous System Regulation. Our nervous system is responsible for getting our body out of "fight or flight" and into "rest and digest/repair". This is essential for hormone and thyroid health because if we are running off of stress hormones while in a fight or flight state, it will be incredibly hard for the body to heal, no matter what else we do. I will teach you techniques and give you tools to support a healthy nervous system including hypnosis recordings and EFT tapping sessions.
-Week 11: Supplementation. Learn how to support your body through targeted supplements and learn which ones can actually be detrimental for your health and hormones. There is no "magic pill" for thyroid health and hormonal imbalance, but there are supplements that will assist you in your healing process alongside approaching your health in a holistic manner.
-Week 12: Lymphatic Drainage for Detoxification. Learn how to stimulate detoxification in the body to rid the body of waste that will create inflammation and weight gain. You will learn tried and true techniques to stimulate lymphatic drainage and support detoxification of the whole body.
BONUS: Coming off of Birth Control and tracking your cycle naturally. This is a high requested lesson from those who have come off of the pill or would like to in the future. It is important to understand how to support your body with certain nutrients in this process and to learn how to track your cycle naturally.

My name is Ashley Carlson and I've been in the health and wellness world for over 13 years now. It all started when I had crippling anxiety and panic attacks along with digestive issues at 21 years old.
